The DISPOSAFE Disposable Active Safety IV Catheter with Blood Control Technology is a single-use peripheral vascular access device designed for both blood draw and infusion. It features an integrated blood control valve that prevents blood leakage during insertion and eliminates the need for venous compression. A push-button safety mechanism shields the needle after use to reduce the risk of needlestick injury. The catheter hub is clear and features a flashback chamber for confirming vessel entry, as well as a radiopaque stripe along the catheter, which highlights placement under imaging.
