The Pipelle® is a single-use, sterile, disposable suction curette designed for obtaining a histologic biopsy of the uterine mucosal lining or extracting uterine menstrual content for microscopic examination or culturing.

The device features a clear, flexible polypropylene sheath measuring 26.5 cm in overall length, with an effective length of 23.5 cm. The sheath has an outer diameter (OD) of 3.1 mm and an internal diameter (ID) of 2.6 mm.

For precise insertion, the sheath is marked with colored, graduated indicators from 4 cm to 10 cm from the distal tip, allowing for accurate depth measurement during use.
